Dr. Sulman Ahmed of DECA Dental is awarded the EY 2017 Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Dallas, Texas
Dallas, TX, June 27, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Sulman Ahmed, Founder and CEO of DECA Dental, was awarded the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2017 Award in the Southwest Region. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Dr. Ahmed was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at the Hilton Anatole Dallas, Texas on June 24.
Dr. Ahmed was born in Zimbabwe and moved to the U.S. at age 18. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, he graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate.
Upon graduation, Dr. Ahmed set out to disrupt the dental industry by pioneering a patient-centered dental model that ensured patients’ needs were always met. Based on this new philosophy, Dr. Ahmed opened his first office in Garland, Texas in 2008. Since then, DECA Dental has grown exponentially and is forecasting to have over 100 locations nationwide by the end of 2017.
Dr. Ahmed’s passion for people extends to his involvement in the community by providing thousands of needy or at-risk children and families with free dental work every year.
